What is De-metallization?

De-metallizing or stripping of steel, aluminium, copper or non-ferrous metals is a highly specialized surface treatment process. Metallic coatings such as nickel, chrome, zinc or precious metals like silver and gold are selectively removed from the base material — without damaging the component.
